Mixing Instructions:

Reconstitute RCD Kid Goat 23-25 DC with Citric Acid using the following steps:

  1. Measure 4 1/2 cups of dry powder.

  2. Mix into 2/3 gallon of hot water and whisk vigorously.

  3. Add cool water to complete 1 gallon of total solution.

  4. Feed the mixture at 103–105°F.

Tips on Feeding:

  • Prevent Disease Transmission: As a number of diseases can be passed on to kids when they drink raw goat milk, newborn kids should not nurse their dams at all. Feed heat-treated colostrum within the first hours after birth and continue for the first 24 hours of life.

  • Sanitation & Hydration: Provide fresh, clean water daily. Equipment used for mixing and feeding should be thoroughly cleaned after each usage.

  • Early Rumen Development: Feed high-quality dry feed free choice after kids are 7 days old.

  • Scouring Protocol: Kids may need treatment with an oral antibiotic if scouring occurs due to a bacterial infection. Call your veterinarian immediately if scouring persists.
