RCS 23-25 Kid Goat Milk Replacer w/ Farmatan

The 23-25 Kid Goat Milk Replacer has many nutritional qualities to help with Kid development.

This product is medicated and includes Decoquinate. This is used for the prevention of coccidiosis in young goats caused by Eimeria christenseni and Eimeria ninakohlyakimovae. Feed at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.

This product also includes Farmatan. Farmatan aids in immune support with coccidiosis and clostridia. Farmatan has an excellent track record for immunity improvement and reduced gut stress with feed changes and age transitions.

Mixing Instructions: Reconstitute RCD Kid Goat 23-25 DC with Citric Acid at a rate of 4 1/2 cups dry powder in 2/3 gallon of  hot water. Whisk vigorously, then add cool water to complete one gallon of solution. Feed at 103-105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tips on Feeding:

  • As a number of diseases can be passed on to kids when they drink raw goat milk, newborn kids should not nurse their dams at all. Feed heat-treated colostrum within the first hours after birth and continue for the first 24 hours of life.
  • Provide fresh, clean water daily. Equipment used for mixing and feeding should be thoroughly cleaned after each usage.
  • Feed high quality dry feed free choice after kids are 7 days old.
  • Kids may need treatment with an oral antibiotic if scouring occurs due to bacterial infection. Call your veterinarian if scouring persists.
